You have to be grateful for all that God had done in your life. No matter what you go through, your tomorrow is better than your past. Focus on your purpose not your past or your pain.

Somebody needs this today: You are not behind. You are not forgotten. And just because you don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean God isn’t working. Some seasons are about moving. Some seasons are about waiting. Some seasons are about becoming. Don’t compare your chapter to somebody else’s testimony. God knows where you are. He knows what you’ve been carrying. He knows what you’ve been praying about. Keep trusting Him. Keep showing up. Keep your heart open. What feels like a delay may be preparation for what you’ve been praying for. This Sunday, take a breath. You don’t have to have everything figured out. Just take the next step. I recorded something last night that I almost didn't post. No script. No edits. One take. I sat down and talked about the last five years, the divorce, raising my three kids alone, and the 1 AM conversations nobody sees. A few months ago my daughter woke me up crying. She couldn't sleep. Her mind wouldn't stop. All I could do was hold her and pray. Then later, sitting in the car with her, she said something that stopped me cold: "I didn't choose her to be my mom. You chose her to be your wife." I didn't have an answer for that. I still don't, some days. I'm putting this out because I know somebody reading this is carrying something they haven't said out loud. You're leading people. You're building something. You're the one everybody comes to for answers. And nobody knows what's happening at 1 AM in your house. I'm not telling you this to be admired for surviving it. I'm telling you because you don't get to postpone leadership until your personal life is fixed. You lead broken or you don't lead. College move in day

I cried most of today like a baby I’m a girl dad…only girl dad’s may fully understand this post I knew this day would come but I didn’t know it would be here this fast. From the first time I laid eyes on her when she came out of the womb, I fell in love with her Dropping my daughter off to college today was a bitter sweet moment for the both of us…much harder for me I cried when we left, while on the road, when we got there and before leaving her dorm room. I couldn’t hold back my tears I’m so proud of who this young lady is becoming; gorgeous, smart, caring, hard working, and one of the best things to ever happen to me. I LOVE all of my kids and so grateful for them. Having kids was one of the BEST decisions I made Today was a day to celebrate her great achievement of starting college at 17 Walking on the same campus I walked on over 20 years ago brought back so many memories. I walked past my old dorm which is now used for storage, I remember almost everything that happened on move in day My first day on the same campus at 16 years old in 2001, after my parents dropped me off, I was excited but also very nervous because I was in a brand new world I only saw in the movies I know she’s excited but also a little scared and nervous. I know she’ll be fine Shoutout to Kean University for making the process seamless and amazing. Seeing her take this step pushes and makes me work harder than anything else I’ve always been with my kids and this is going to be the first time that we’ll be away from each other this long I’m sure all girl dad can relate to this Now I just gotta figure out how to pay that hefty tuition bill lol #collegestudent #girldad #grateful #dadlife
