Privacy Policy
Praylum is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Praylum, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Overview
Praylum, LLC ("Praylum," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Praylum platform at praylum.ai. We are committed to handling your personal information with transparency, care, and respect.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform — viewers, members, creators, and affiliates — and covers information collected through our website, mobile experience, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you register, we collect: your name, email address, username, password (stored as a hashed value — we never store your plain-text password), and account role (viewer, creator, admin).
Profile Information. Creators may provide additional profile information including: display name, biography, profile photo, website URL, and social media handles.
Content You Upload. For creators, we collect and store the video files, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, pricing, and associated metadata you upload to the Platform.
Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including: pages visited, videos watched, watch duration and progress, search queries, clicks, and feature usage. This data is used to improve the Platform and to provide creators with analytics.
Device & Technical Data. We collect browser type, operating system, IP address, device type, screen resolution, and referring URL. IP addresses are used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate geolocation for content delivery optimization.
Payment-Adjacent Data. When you make a purchase, Stripe processes your payment. Praylum receives limited transaction data from Stripe including: transaction status, amount, last 4 card digits (for display purposes), and billing country. We do not receive or store full card numbers, CVV codes, or complete billing addresses.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry and for quality improvement purposes.
Affiliate Data. For affiliates, we track referral link clicks, referred sign-ups, referred subscriptions, and commission amounts generated.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Platform Operation: To create and manage your account, authenticate logins, deliver video content, process bookings, facilitate community features, and operate all Platform services.
- Creator Analytics: To provide creators with view counts, watch time, revenue tracking, audience demographics, and other analytics to help them grow their channels.
- Payments & Payouts: To process subscription billing, PPV purchases, coaching session payments, affiliate commissions, and creator payouts through Stripe.
- Platform Improvement: To understand how the Platform is used, identify bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features.
- Safety & Security: To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, spam, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service or Content Standards.
- Communications: To send you account notifications, payout confirmations, and service updates. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests from law enforcement, and enforce our legal agreements.
6. Video & Content Data
Videos You Watch. We record your watch history, watch progress, and engagement actions (likes, comments) to power your library, enable resume playback, and help creators understand their audience. You can view your watch history at /library/.
Videos You Upload. Creator-uploaded videos are hosted via Cloudflare Stream. Cloudflare stores video files and handles transcoding and delivery. Praylum stores metadata (title, description, pricing, etc.) in our database. Videos are associated with your creator account.
Live Sessions. Live stream broadcasts conducted through the Platform may be recorded and stored based on your creator settings. Stream keys and RTMP credentials are stored securely and associated with your account.
7. Payments & Financial Data
Payment Processing. All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. Praylum does not directly process, transmit, or store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account details, or CVV codes.
Creator Payout Data. To process creator payouts, Praylum collects and stores payout method information through Stripe Connect, including bank account details or debit card information provided by creators. This data is stored and secured by Stripe.
Transaction Records. Praylum stores records of completed transactions — including subscription purchases, PPV purchases, and payouts — for accounting, dispute resolution, and audit purposes. Financial records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years as required by applicable accounting standards.
8. Data Retention
Active Accounts. We retain your account information and associated data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform's services.
Deleted Accounts. When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, subject to the exceptions below.
Retention Exceptions. Certain data may be retained after account deletion where required by law (e.g., financial transaction records, tax records), for fraud prevention, or to resolve open disputes or outstanding obligations.
Creator Content After Deletion. If you delete your creator account, your uploaded content will be removed from the Platform within 30 days. Content that has been legally purchased by members (PPV) may remain accessible to those purchasers for a reasonable period to honor the transaction.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- HTTPS (TLS encryption) for all data transmission between your browser and our servers
- Bcrypt password hashing — your password is never stored in plain text
- Cloudflare DDoS protection and firewall services
- Restricted database access with role-based permissions
- Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessment
However, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
In the event of a data breach that materially affects your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
