Spiritual Warfare in Business: The Attacks That Hit Right Before a Breakthrough

Spiritual warfare and business. Thanks for tuning in today. We wanna get right to this because I know that, you know, you're facing a lot of challenges and obstacles. And one of the things that you gotta understand is that anytime that you've been given an assignment, it's not going to be a walk in the park. Especially as a Christian, you're gonna have significant amount of challenges that you face. Sometimes it's gonna make sense. Most of the times, it's not gonna make sense. So I wanna give you five attacks that you are going to face. This is something that is inevitable. It's not something that you can avoid. It's not something that you want to avoid. It's not something that you can blame on other people, and it's not something that you can you can change. Sometimes you go through difficult seasons as a business owner where nothing makes sense. You're doing your hardest. You're working hard. You're you're doing everything right, but it seems like you keep coming up against different challenges. You keep coming up against different obstacles. Well, today, I wanna help you to understand those five things and what they are. I want you to really pay attention today because this is going to give you the clarity. And I always talk about clarity. In order for you to accomplish anything, you need to have clarity because clarity always bring a level of focus that nothing else bring. Clarity brings a a level of direction. Clarity. You know, the bible said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. So the challenge that you're gonna face is going to be is gonna be there. You cannot avoid it. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. So the battles that you're facing, the opponents that you have, they're not always visible. And I wanna help you to prepare yourself and put yourself in a position so as you're going through these challenges, as you're going through this attack, as you're going through all those different things that are there to stop you, there to hinder you, you are better prepared. You are ready to fight. You are ready not to give up. So if you feel like giving up, maybe you've already given up. You had dreams. You had aspirations. You had desires. You had plans, but it seems like everything just came crumbling down, and you're trying to figure out what exactly happened. Where did I go wrong? What did I do? It's not always what you did wrong. It's not always something that you did, but I want you to understand that it is connected to your greater purpose. It is connected to your greater calm. It is connected because there's something that God has called you to do. There is an assignment that you must complete. And until you complete that assignment, the enemy is always gonna come in and wanna fight you. Any which way, whatever way that works, that's how he wants to come at you. So you need to understand spiritual warfare and context of running your business. Spiritual warfare and context of running your business. And one of the things I wanna clear up to, I wanna balance this. Sometimes if you don't have a plan, if you don't have a strategy, it seems like that's the enemy, that's the devil, that's evil, when it's really not. So as much as there is spiritual warfare of invisible forces that don't want you to accomplish your purpose, There's also the part of your planning. There's also a part of building a system. I've talked about this before. In order for you to scale your business, you need to have a system in place. You gotta have a system in place, and this is something that is vital to the growth of your your business because most coaches, most entrepreneurs, most small business owners, if they don't go to work for one week, their business will almost crumble. But you have to be able to strategically put things, a system in place. So if you're not working for a few days, if you're not working for a few weeks, right, something happened, god forbid, your business can thrive and your business can outlive you. That is the point. I want you to get to a place where you begin to think, I need my business to outlive me. I need my business to outlive me. So make sure that you're sharing this video. Make sure you're you're liking. Whenever you've been called to make an impact in this world, you're gonna realize that the challenges that you face is going to be based on the the size of the impact that you wanna make. So if you don't wanna do anything, if you don't want the impact from people's lives, if you want to just live a normal everyday life just that, you know, just that regular not doing much. Right? The rat race as they call it. If that's all you wanna do, then, hey, you're not going to face much opposition. You're gonna just go blend right in to whatever people are doing, however things are going, and you are going to blend right in. But for the rest of you that I know, you know that you got something in you. You know that you're called to do something. You know despite of all that you've been through, all the challenges that you've been through, you know there is something that you're supposed to be doing. There is something. There is this business idea that's been hibernating in your soul, in your spirit for a long, long time. And I believe this is that time that that thing, that business, or those businesses that have been hibernating inside of your soul, it is time for those businesses to come forth. And I speak right now. I want you to challenge yourself. Today, I need for those businesses. You don't have to have everything perfect. You don't have to do everything right. And I think sometimes that's what hold a lot of people back is they wanna get everything right. It doesn't work that way. You don't have to get everything right the first time. Start where you are, and you go from there. Start exactly where you are, and you go from there. One of the things you gotta understand something, when it comes to the supernatural realm, the supernatural beings, whether whether it's demonic or godly, they are very strategic. In order for you listen to this. You will realize and you can study history. The most successful people in the world, they got to a place in their lives where they they had used all the resources. They had used everything and reached to a point where they hit hit a ceiling. Right? And they hit that ceiling because you need supernatural help in order for you to break through a certain level of success. No question about it. You need supernatural assistance. Whether that supernatural assistance come from God or comes from the devil, you one of them have to help you. So I want you to have that in the backdrop of your mind. In order for you to break through to the masses, in order for you to get that breakthrough in your business that you've been praying for, you've been working hard for, you've been studying for, you've been investing in, you get to a place where you've exhaust everything from a human standpoint, and you need help from a spiritual being, a spirit being to help you. Why do you think that in order for people to end up becoming successful in the largest scale scale, they say things like, you know, well, I had to sell my soul to the devil, or I had to completely surrender to God. So you have one or two options. If you wanna reach the pinnacle of success that you desire, one or two options, there is no middle ground. You either sell your soul to the devil, and he will give you the fame and the fortune and all that comes with it. And let me tell you the pain that comes with it, the worries that comes with it, no peace. And the bible said, what does it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world but lose his soul? And that is what he offers you. It's always shiny. It's always glamorous. It's always beautiful, but when you bite that apple, you realize that, oh my goodness, you sign up for things you did not even expect. And you can go around, listen to the testimonies, listen to the stories of even secular artists, even secular entrepreneurs, and they talk about their experiences with that. Or you can surrender your plans to God. You can give it up to him. The bible said delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. What is your heart desire? Where do you wanna go in business? Where do you see yourself five years from now? Where do you see yourself ten years from now? So before I wanted to get into this five attacks that you're gonna face, I wanted to kinda whet your appetite to help you to understand how things are going to work. You gotta be able to prepare for this. There are times in life when things will blindside you. I'm talking my blindside like you didn't even see that coming from a thousand miles away. You plan for a, but you realize that plan c is what's happening. And by the time that you're able to adjust for plan c, plan f is already in effect. And as you're trying to adjust for plan f, you gotta go back to plan a because something changed in plan a that you wasn't expecting to change, good or bad. So what I'm saying to you today, there's warfare that you're gonna fight, and you have to be ready for it. So let me give you these five attacks. Attack number one is when you start believing that you are not called, you're not valuable, you're not worth anything, or they they they can I really accomplish anything? Can I really make a difference? You know, I'm just I'm just one person. What what can one person do? I wanna share with you what one person can do. You know, prior to the birth of Jesus Christ, the calendar was just blank. But from the day that he was born, he changed history. One man. Now we have AD, and then we have BC. Before Christ and after Christ, or, and I believe, Latin for amno domino, after. So before and after one man. When you look in the Old Testament, one man was in the burning bush for forty years. He was doing his own agenda. He was getting prepared, he did not even know it. Forty long years. And one day, he's out there in the wilderness, and he saw the burning bush. But I wanna backtrack when the little baby Moses was born. He was hidden because the pharaoh was was just killing children two years and under, killing them. But when Moses was born, they knew something was special about this child. They protected him. Fast forward eighty years later, Right? He already left. He set the children of Israel free. Over 3,500,000 people. Now, right now, that may not sound like a whole lot for one man to lead that many people, but back then, we're talking about in the desert. You have women, you got children, you got handicapped, you have those that are sick, you have the elderly. I mean, you had a variety a mixture of different people. So having to deal with it but one man. In the book of Judges, there's a man named Gideon. Gideon was sitting on a tree, and and the angel of lord appeared to him and said, mighty man of valor. Gideon said, who? Me? I'm not mighty. I'm not. We're running from everybody else. No. No. The angel the lord said to him, something about you something about you is the world changer. So I wanna say to you, there's something about the business that God has given you. There's something about the idea. Don't just ignore the idea and just let it die. There was something. Jeremiah, the bible said, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. I ordained your prophet to the nation. There is some of you. God has already ordained you to do something significantly great that will shape the world. So what the enemy has to do, he gotta find some way to disrupt it, whatever he has to do to disrupt that. And sometimes when you get disrupted, it takes a while for you to get back on track. It's not always easy to get back on track after there's some major disruption in your life. We're gonna talk about that in a minute. So the way that this shows up when you don't know who you are, when you keep doubting yourself. Right? You don't pursue clients at the the level that you should. Right? And you have this failed mentality, and people can feel that from you. If you're a coach and you're in business and you wanna get new clients, they can feel your failure just emanating through you. It really comes across because you've lost your confidence, you've lost your clarity, you've lost your sense of direction. But today is the day that you realize that no more identity confusion. No more. No more. And I want you to make sure that you do this. Now I do this in different forms. I want you to write a letter to yourself, to your future self. I want you to write create a voice note. On my phone, I have voice notes that I created. My goodness. We're talking about five, six, ten years ago almost. And sometimes when I go back and I listen to that voice note, I just close my eyes. I was like, wow. It motivates me. It encourage me. It inspires me. And that is exactly what you have to do. Write a letter to yourself. You're gonna realize that in this journey of life, whether you do business, personal, anything else, there are gonna be moments that you have to be your own greatest cheerleader. No one else is gonna cheer for you. No one else. You gotta be able to dig so deep that you begin to cheer for yourself. There's a powerful story in the Bible where David and about 800 men, you know, had came back from war, four to 800, and everything was gone. Their wives, their stock, livestock, everything. And David, man, they wanted to just shred them to pieces. They wanted to rip them to pieces. David was discouraged. Can you imagine? You go out to war and you come back and everything you have is gone. Your family is gone. Your properties are gone. Everything you worked hard for. David's men's they were furious with them. But the bible said David encouraged himself in the Lord. Encouragement comes in different ways. One of the things that I always do is I like taking walks, go by the lake. You know? Like I said, my house, there's, like, about twenty, twenty five minutes where there's a lake. From time to time, I just go there. Just go to the park, you know, take a walk at the park. You know, just clear my sometimes, I just go for a drive, go for a long drive. So you gotta realize that that's the number one attack that you're gonna face. The number two attack that you're gonna face is relational fracture. My goodness. This one, it hurts to the core of your soul. Relation of fracture, this is when you're close to accomplishing something great. Right? You you you have your plans. You know, things are are going in the right direction. Right? And you seem like, wow. You're excited. Then all of a sudden, your relationships start to fall apart. Somebody leave, somebody betray you, somebody say something to you. Something happens along the way in your relationship that all of a sudden, all the energy that you were putting towards moving forward, all the energy you were putting towards your business, towards scaling, towards wherever you're going in life, now you have to use that energy to deal with this person or this individual or individuals. Sometimes it's family. Sometimes it's business. But you have to now switch your mindset because before, you were on go mode. Now you have to shift to survival mode because you're just trying to survive this thing that happened have just put you in a mindset that you cannot move forward, and you get in survival mode. The thing about survival mode is that it robs you of clarity because when you're in survival mode, you don't think straight. All you're thinking about is who's coming after you looking behind your back like this. Who's coming after me? What could go wrong now? I gotta hustle, and I gotta do this now. You're thinking now, now, now, and you're always stressed. You have anxiety. You're always frustrated. You snap easily when you are on survival mode. You do not have the clarity, the focus, the drive that it takes to continue to go in the right direction because you're in that mode. So you gotta be able to make sure. And that's the enemy's strategy because he want to cut you off from community, from family. Now sometimes I get it. I know there are times when you do have to cut up from family. There are times for that, but not that type that I'm talking about. I'm talking about a major disruption. So you have to discern who is a distraction versus who is your divine assignment. Anytime that you see your relationships have been disrupted, you have to decide as this a distraction from the enemy or as this divine assignment. As God removing this person or this relationship or this business partnership, as he removing them for a reason, That takes discernment, and discernment is something that you have to work on every single day. You never arrive at discernment. You get better because as you're growing, as you're learning, you're gonna realize that there are different scenarios that are happening in your life that you gotta discern relationships. You gotta discern your business. You gotta discern finances. You gotta discern health. You gotta discern so many things, and that is a never learning process that you go through every single day. Every single day you go through that. So if it's a distraction, cut them off. It's not worth your purpose. Cut them off. It's not worth your peace. One of the ways that you can tell when someone is a distraction in your life is if they don't bring you any peace. If all they do disrupt your life in a negative way, they're not bringing you peace. They are not bringing you peace. But you gotta realize, okay, this is a distraction. I need to get rid of them. It might hurt. You might cry. But after you've cried all those tears, you wipe your tears, and you get focused again because that's what it takes sometimes. You're gonna have those days when you cry. You're gonna have those days when you're broken. You're gonna have those days when you're empty. You're gonna have those days of doubt. You're gonna have those days of pain. You're gonna have those, but you have to realize it's for the greater good. That distraction is not worth your purpose. Number three, financial squeeze. This is why the breakthrough season often arrive with cash flow deficiency, cash flow crisis. It just seem like just when you think you're ready to move forward, some expense come up. You ever had that before? You're saving for something, and just when you think, man, I got it, some expense come up that you wasn't prepared for. And now you have to reallocate all the resources that you've been working for, all the resources that you've been planning for now has to be redirected to this thing that just brought on this cash flow issue, and you gotta deal with it. If not, it's gonna just drain you more and more and more and more. You wanna use wisdom. You wanna use wisdom. Now the testing ground principle is this. God often strips financial comfort before expanding financial capacity. Let me say it again. God will strip financial comfort before financial before expanding your financial capacity. Why does that happen? Because in order for you to become what you're destined to become, you need to readjust a new normal. Right? Sometimes you're so comfortable where you are when there's more. You don't wanna aim for more, but you're desiring more. You've been speaking more. And I wanna say something about the power of your words. Let me tell you something. There is power in your thought, in your mind. There is power in your words. I remember one time let's just give a quick example. I remember one time, I went to a grocery store that I normally used to shop at, and I'm real close with the cashiers, you know, this particular cashier, you know, from time to time we'll talk. And I just thought in my head, you know, we're just playing around. I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna accidentally drop something and just, you know, have her come clean up. Just something like that. Just thought thought about it. Do you know moments later, not even five minutes after I had that thought, I'm walking down an aisle that has spaghetti sauce, that had some other things, you know, bottles, and I accidentally knocked something over, and it broke, and I had to get a cashier to come help clean it up. I I just thought about it, and that right there I I froze because I'm like, woah. Your thoughts are powerful. I thought about it, and less than five minutes later, it happened. What can you create with your imagination? What can you create with the power of your thought, with the power of your mind? You wanna be able to make sure that you're not recklessly spending because sometimes we go through a financial drought because we're just recklessly spending. When you have abundance, you don't save, you don't invest. You're gonna go through a season or seasons of of of drought. This always happens. Right? A lot of money comes, and then you end up not not saving, not investing. And then you go through another cycle where you lose everything. Now you gotta be you gotta scrape. You gotta scrape, you know, like, you you you barely getting by. You have to be able to use wisdom. So I have a ninety day program for those of you that wanna join. Now so one thing too, financially, as as a business owner, I see a lot of Christians, they feel guilty about charging for something. You can't feel guilty about it. Okay? Because you have to study the market, and then based on what the market is telling you, then you have to be able to price accordingly. I tell people I'm not the cheapest. Most of the times, I'm probably the most expensive that you're gonna deal with. But the value and the clarity that you're gonna get from them with someone that knows what they're doing, have been doing it for a long time, is different. So know the transformation that you're bringing in people's lives. Don't price it. Don't just come up with the pricing based on hours because that's doing yourself an injustice. Now let's go into number four. Number four. Oh my goodness. This one is good. This is good. This is the counterfeit opportunity. There are opportunities that will be presented to you that are counterfeit. They are not what you're supposed to take. And I I've seen maybe you've experienced this. I've dealt with it. Counterfeit opportunity. I remember a few years ago, when we were talking about man, twelve years ago, I think, I wanted to buy a digital camera for my production studio, and I went online, Craigslist. This one Craigslist was real popular. So I went on Craigslist, and I met this contact because I bought some things from Craigslist before, and they were okay. So I figured, hey. This camera, the guy was, you know, asking for the mountain he was asking for. I think it was, like, like, a thousand dollars or something. It's about a thousand dollars. So I was excited because the quality he mentioned, you know, was great, everything else. You know? And I've I've done stuff online. So for me, this wasn't anything out of ordinary. I wasn't like you know, I know they're scammers and they're things you, you know, pay attention to, but I'm like, you know, so he wanted me to Western Union with the money. He was a guy that lived in The States or so I thought. Right? So I went to Western Union, and I sent him the money. I he wanted me to do it, like, in batches. Right? I sent 300 for something, and then I sent the rest and, you know, things like that. So I went to Western Union, and I sent this guy a thousand dollars or so. And later on, when I went back, I never received the equipment. So I went back to Western Union, and I had thank god I had my receipts. I said, look. I paid this guy this. I gave him this, and I showed him this. Now I never got anything anything from him. They were saying, well, we don't have any records of this and blah blah blah. Make a long story short, the guy was an insider. He actually worked with Western Union as a fraudulent person and was scamming people about, I don't know, years later. I mean, we're talking about several years later. I've forgotten about the whole thing because I can get my money back because they're saying that, well, you know, he was in the system. He was able to manipulate something. But then a few years later I mean, like, maybe ten years later or something like that. I completely forgot about that. They did an investigation, and they found that Western Union was, you know, violated, and they had scammed. And some of the money I didn't get all of it back. But some of the money that I gave this guy, a good portion of it, I they gave it it returned back to me. I got it back. You know? I got it back. But but again, that was something that seemed like the right opportunity when it wasn't. You know? It was something that I missed I thought I missed the opportunity, but it was definitely wrong. So I wanna help you when it comes to seasoned opportunities. I always teach my kids this. Right? PP PPW, something like that. Right? The first one is you have to pray about it. I mean, you pause. Before you seize any opportunities, you just gotta pause. Don't be rushed to make any decisions. I've taught my kids, you gotta pause because you're pausing because you wanna get that peace. Sometimes you don't get a direct answer when you pray. Sometimes you can get all the counsel. You can do all the research, but something still just like, that is when you depend on peace. You get peace, you pray, and then you act on it. So peace, and then you realize your provisional patterns, how God provides for you, how things always work out out for you, you're gonna realize that there's a certain pattern to your life. When things go wrong, it follows the same pattern. If you if you really study the things that have gone wrong in your life and the things that have gone right in your life, they follow the exact same pattern. Different things, exact same pattern. So you wanna be able to study that, and you wanna be able to pray about it. I pray about every decision. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you don't get it right. But still pray about it when you get confirmation. Confirmation could come in so many different ways. You can walk down the street, and you start a conversation with someone that you never spoke to about anything. And in that conversation, you get a confirmation. Sometimes you're walking somewhere, and you look up somewhere, and you you see something about what you've been thinking about. That could be a confirmation. Right? So you wanna be able to use those three p's and make sure that for any red flags, sometimes if they want you to if opportunity present itself as urgent, like you gotta do it right now, don't think about it. Right? You no. No. Do it right now. Don't think about it. You know, you don't have that much time. That's a red flag because you need time to go back. Right? This impulsive thing, and I've I've had a situation like that before, impulsive buying. No. No. Do it right now. Do it right now. Now. Now. Now. There are times when that happens, but for the most part. And then also if the opportunity is going to isolate you from your your your friends, if it's going to isolate you from the people that matters to you, if it's going to isolate you from people that are helping you to get to your purpose, your destiny, maybe you gain counsel, then you wanna that's a red flag. Because any opportunity that is meant for you should not isolate you from the people that are there that love you. Right? And then also, is it compromising the mission? Sometimes you make great compromises for things that are not worth it. You go the above and below I mean, way above and beyond to compromise for things that are not worth you compromising for. So you have to pay attention to that. And do your research. Do your research, especially based on the type of opportunity that has been presented to you. You gotta do your research. You know, take some time with all the tools that we have today. You know? And then the cost of saying yes too early. Delay sometimes, man, like they said, delay is God's protection. You know? Or rejection is God's protection. Sometimes things would get delayed. God will allow for certain level of delay to come to get you to refocus. But I realized that a lot of times, we miss it, man. We just want it now. We just wanna do this right now. Maybe we wanna relocate somewhere, and you feel like, no. I gotta do it right now. But God is saying, nope. Not yet. Not yet. But you I gotta do. I gotta do it. And then you end up doing it, and it backfires. It just completely backfired because you just didn't wanna let that time to think about it, to let everything process. And a lot of us get in trouble like that because we want it now. We want it now. Nope. I don't hear about it. We just wanna do it right now. So you need to take that time for it. Number five. You probably felt this one. I know that I have from time to time. You get burned out right before your harvest comes. You've been investing. You've been strategizing. You've been working hard, you've been praying, you've been thinking through, you've done your research, you looked at the data, and you get so burnt out before. You gotta look at burnout as a spiritual attack, not a character flaw because the look. When you're called to do something, the negative and evil forces in this world, they would try to present everything else to you that looks shiny so you can get burned out from pursuing something that is not connected to your purpose. And by the time that you have enough energy, you would have spent all your energy chasing things that have no relevance to where you're going. And by the time that you're connected to where you're going, you're burnt out. You're so burnt out, you don't have enough energy to go in the right direction. Farmers don't rest and harvest in the harvest season, but they also don't plant and harvest simultaneously. So there's a season you plant, and there's a season that you harvest. You gotta use wisdom, and it all goes back again when I told you guys before. I talk about it. Your your system. When you have a system, system help you not to burn out. If you put a good system in place, it is going to help you not to burn out. Because when you burn out, you can't focus. When you burn out, you're easily frustrated. When you burn out, you lose your sense of direction. When you burn out, you accept anything just because you're tired. Right? So you wanna be able to make sure that you're staying connected, and you wanna take some time to to exercise. You know? I walk at least three miles a day, every single day, for the most part. I walk because that's something that keeps my mind sharp, you know, keeps my energy going, keeps my health right, and I enjoy doing it. So do something that you enjoy. Now I want you to identify the three exhaustion types. They're coming three three ways, three types, emotional, spiritual, and operational. So emotional, these are the people that you deal with, the relationships that you have. That is usually the most taxing because when your relationships break down, man, you can't focus like you need to. You're not motivated. You can't be as disciplined as you need to, and that is why you need to cherish and protect the relationships that matter in your life. The next one is spiritual. Are you spending time to connect with God? Are you spending time in prayer? Are you spending time in reading the Bible? Are you spending time to nurture your spiritual relationships around you? People that speak life into you. People that you can be accountable to. Accountability matters when it comes to where you're going just like a mentor matters. And then, of course, operational. How are you managing your business? What do you have in place? If something happens to you today, how can your business move on? Can your business move on with or without you? Right? So your business need to be able to move on without you. You can do live just like I'm doing live right now. You can do, the exact same thing. And then finally, I don't want you to be a lone coach. Right? A lone wolf, like, coach mentality. There are people that they have this lone wolf mindset. Oh, I don't need anybody. I could do it all by myself. I can figure it out. Well, the problem with that is you're gonna get burnt out. And when you get burnt out, you're not going to have anyone else to speak life into you. You're not gonna have anyone else to be able to help you along this journey. You're not going to be able to have anyone else to support you. You need a community. You need a community. You don't wanna do this by yourself.
