3 Things Quietly Destroying Christian Businesses

There are three things that are quietly destroying your business. Three things. And these are not things that are complex. These are not things that are difficult, and these are not things that are so out of reach that you can't fix, but they're so subtle. They're so subtle that if you don't pay attention to them, you are going to miss them. Three things. And this is something that, you know, I know that is going to help you out significantly on this journey that you're on to scale your business. Three things that are hindering you. Three things that are stopping you. Three things that are distracting you, yet they seem so simple, but yet so complex. Why is it that most people don't really know how to handle these three things? Let me fix this lighting. There we go. Had to adjust the lighting. But why is it that most people are hindered by these three simple things? You know, all of us have blind spots whether you admit it or not. There is not a single person on this planet who doesn't have a blind spot. What is a blind spot? When you're driving, there is a certain point where in your peripheral vision on the side of your eyes where even though you have the mirror, there is a split second where there can be a car right next to you, and you don't see that car. And that is called a blind spot. That's one of the things that they make sure that you understand when you learn how to drive is to pay attention to your blind spot because there have been so many accidents that happened because people didn't think that there was someone to their left or to their right. And when they try to switch lanes or turn, they hit the other car. And that is exactly what a blind spot is. Right? And these three things, once you understand how to overcome them, you're gonna realize that your business is going to go to another level. You know, twenty percent of businesses failed in the first year and fifty percent within the first five years. And it's not because they don't have the skill set. It's not sometimes even because they don't have the resources. It's not even because they don't know what to do. But sometimes these are just three little things that they seem so minute. They seem so little. They seem so ignorant. Right? But if you ignore them, you're gonna realize that it's just a matter of time before your business become a casualty, and we don't want that to happen. It's just a matter of time. So one of the things that I'm doing, with this live is I wanna help you to understand where you're heading, to bring clarity to your direction, to help you to pursue your purpose. When you get into business and you start to deal with different types of clients, Some clients can be able to tell if you are vested and invested in your business. It shows they can feel it right through you. So one of the things that I wanna do is to help you to position yourself, and one of the biggest changes that you have to make is not even financial. It's not even spiritual. It's not even emotional. The number one change that you have to make and start with is mental. It all starts with your mind. It all starts with you making up your mind that you want better. You want to change, not just saying it. A lot of people say that they wanna change, but how many people actually take the necessary steps to make an actual visible change that you can see, whether it's a change in their business, a change in their relationships, a change in their process, a change with their with their partners? How many people actually take that step? Well, today, I'm going to help you unlock these three things that will catapult you to another level that you've never been before. It'll stir something and it'll get your engines rolling. It'll get your mind going. It is going to provoke you. It is going to provoke you to get to that next level, to desire more, to want more, to pursue more, to go after more, to get better. One of the things that I enjoy doing is I'm a learner. I am a learner, and I love to learn. I'm the type of person that I apply anything new that I learn usually in some way, shape, or form within the first five minutes. When I learn something new in less than five minutes, I find some way to apply that thing. If I learn a new word, I'll find a way to use that in context. If I learn a new skill set, especially things that pertain to what I'm doing, I will find a way to implement it. So that has really helped me out significantly. And when you decide that you wanna go into business, you're gonna deal with a lot of different people. And sometimes, most of the times, these are secular people. They don't have the same beliefs as you. They don't have the same principles as you. They don't have the same values as you. So you're gonna put in the mix with all of them. You're gonna put in the mix in the circle and the lion's den in Babylon. Now what do I mean by Babylon? In the book of Daniel, Daniel served four different kings, and he died, like, he died around his eighties. And when Daniel was captured, the Jew that was captured, he was about 15 years old, and Daniel was thrown in in the Babylonian system. Now you gotta understand something about the Babylonian system and how they deal with their gods. They don't give room for you to bring any other gods with their god. They don't have time for you to mix. So they indoctrinate you. They do everything that they can to make sure that when you come to Babylon, you do as the Babylonians do. Like they said, when you're in Rome, do what the Romans do. So when you're in Babylon, you do what the Babylonians do. But Daniel had a different agenda because he knew what his purpose was. He knew that I can go to Babylon, but I don't have to conform to what Babylon wants me to do. I can go to Babylon, and I can literally transform Babylon. And Daniel did transform Babylon. And I want you to go read the book of Daniel. It is it's my favorite book in the Bible because that is who I relate to the most to see the levels that Daniel moved in and and the the strategy that God gave him for business. Because you gotta understand, back then, Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful king in the world. You couldn't tell this man no. You couldn't. But Daniel understood the importance of excellence, and the bible said that Daniel had an excellent spirit in him. What does that even mean? Daniel was always on point. He prayed three times every single day his entire life. He never missed a day. When he was discouraged, he prayed. When he was happy, he prayed. When things were going great, he prayed. When things were going badly, he still prayed. Consistency in that. So these are just basic lessons that when you are dealing business, you're gonna deal a lot. Sometimes you get them in rooms where people are just cussing left and right. They don't care at all. They just send profane things and and there are times when, not too often, but then I'm in a business area and you hear people just, I mean, the language coming out their mouth is just fine left and right. No care about anything. I mean, it's just like, are you serious? So you're gonna have to deal with a lot of that in the business world, and you have to make that decision that you want to be different. So now I want to go over what these three things are. You've probably heard them before, but, man, when I break them down, you're gonna be like, wow. These are so simple. These are so simple. The first attack that you're gonna deal with as you decide to step into your purpose, as you decide to launch your business, as you decide that you wanna stick out like a sore thumb in an in an age where everybody's trying to copy everybody else is doubt. When you become unclear of the vision that God has given you, when you become unclear, you're not really sure, is this the right path to go, is this the right thing to do, doubt is going to be the first line of attack. Doubt. And it doesn't help when you get around people that don't believe in you. It doesn't help when you get around people that question every thing you do. It doesn't help when you get around people that won't back you even when you go in the wrong direction. They'll say to you, listen, I know you're passionate about this, but I I believe in you. I believe in you. There is something that happens when you get around people that will speak life into your your dreams. They'll speak life into your your purpose. They'll speak life because they know that you're gonna get down and discouraged. And as an entrepreneur, there is nothing more painful than you hanging around people that all they do is just talk down. All they're doing is complain. Everything is wrong. This is that. And you just get so overwhelmed that it drains you spiritually. It drains you emotionally. It drains you mentally. It just drains you overall. All the energy that you're supposed to to use to pursue your vision, to go after your vision, now you're doubting because you've allowed certain people to come into your atmosphere. If you want to get to your next level in business, if you wanna get to your next level in anything, you have to protect your atmosphere. Your atmosphere, the words that are around you. Don't let people come into your space and spew negative words, you know, cusses all over, and they're negative, they're down. Don't let that stuff come into your atmosphere. You gotta protect it. And that is why I love being around people that are go getters, people that are motivators. Yes. Well, I get down sometimes, but for the most part, they're always go getters. They see the they see the cup the glass is half full instead of half empty. You wanna get around people like that because there are gonna be moments in your life when you begin to doubt everything that you stand for, when you begin to doubt the vision that God has given you for your business, for your family, for your relationships, for your purpose, you're going to doubt it in those moments. That's when you need voices that will remind you of what you've been called to do. Not voices that'll tell you, oh, that's never gonna work. Oh, just give that. You need voices that will speak life into you. It's okay. It's not working right now, but don't give up. Just keep going. It's alright. You're getting closer. You need those voices. But can I be honest with you? The harsh truth the harsh truth is that you're gonna realize you get to a point in life where you don't have that. It's going to be just you and God. Because for a season, as you're pursuing your business, as you're pursuing your passion, as you're pursuing your purpose, God needs to isolate you so that the only voice that you learn to obey is his voice. So what God would do is when you wanna launch anything, whether it's your ministry, your business organization, Proverbs five and six says, trust in the Lord, right, with all your heart and lean not unto your what? Your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. So God need to isolate you to speak to you. He need to isolate you to give you clarity. He need to isolate you so that way you're not become dependent on the applause of men. Oh, there are people that can't wait to get the applause of men. Now there's nothing wrong being applauded for something that you do. There are people that cannot go on without the validation from other people. But what you're gonna realize is the way that God deals with doubt, he will allow you and put you in a situation that will take you through the wilderness. It is through the wilderness that you know what it says in Isaiah 43. Be still and know that I'm God. And it says when you go through the waters, when you go through the fire, when you go through the pain, when you go through all these things, it will not burn you, you will not drown, and it will not overtake you. It is in those moments when you become doubtful that God himself have to speak life into you. And when Jesus was was tempted by the devil, He after forty days, and the devils, you know, came and said this and did this and and and he was weak, the bible said that angels came to strengthen him. It is in your moment of doubt that when you stick with the vision that God has given you for your business, for your family, for purpose, God know exactly who to bring around you to strengthen you because the journey is long. The journey is not easy. You're gonna have days when you wanna give up. You're have days where you're doubtful. We're saying the bible, Abraham Abraham's Abraham's laugh. When God says you're gonna have a son, he'll like, what? What? Me? 75 years old? I'm gonna have I'm gonna have what? At 75, and Sarah, his wife, Sarai, but, you know, a friend that was changed to Sarah, she laughed in the back. And the lust is to anything to heart. So he laughed. Moses had a bunch of excuses. You know, I'm a stutterer. You know, I can't even speak. He was doubting that because you want me to go deliver the children of Israel, but I'm a stutterer. I can't even speak. I can't even say one complete sentence without taking fifteen minutes. And when the angel appeared to Gideon by the tree, he said, oh, mighty man of valor. And Gideon was like, who? Me? So I wanna speak to you in your doubt because you're gonna deal with a certain level of doubt. Everybody deals with them, but you have to learn how to distinguish God's voice. Now first Kings nineteen eleven through 12, it talks about after Elijah broke down, his brought he is brought to Mount Horeb where God passes by in a great wind, an earthquake, and a fire, but God is not in any of those. Right? Then comes the still small voice. The still small it is that still small voice. It is that peace. It's that peace that surpasses all understanding. When you don't know what to do, it is that peace. When you are confused, it is that peace. When you are lost, it is that peace. When you hear so much noise, when you gotta deal with distractions, when people trying to bring you down, when they're lying on you, when you're not even sure yourself what direction to go, when you don't have clarity, it is that peace that resonate in your soul, in your spirit. It is that peace that become your guiding post. It is that peace that becomes your north star. So you're gonna deal with doubt. You're gonna deal with the doubt phase cycle and build a spiritual resilience. That's going to help you build resilience because you go through that season and you move on. You go through the next season because every time that you get elevated, it's your business scale, it's your life scale, as things go, you know, get advanced, then you go through another cycle of doubt. Like, wow. I just moved to this next level. Cannot attain this level. And then you get past that, and then you move on to the next one. And it happens like that. The number two attack that you're gonna deal with is delay. I think this is where most of us struggle with the most. You're supposed to do something. You know that at this stage in your life, you should have been here. You know that at this stage in your life, that should have happened. You know that at this stage in your life, something should have happened. Or sometimes, the temptation to to wait for the perfect timing. You know, I'm gonna wait for the perfect moment. How many times have you said I am going to wait for you know, I don't have this. I don't have that. So I'm gonna wait until I get a certain amount of cash, until I get connected to this particular person or this group, until this on so you have a bunch of reasons. Delay. Now delay comes in so many different ways. Delay can sometimes come disguised as perfectionist. You want to perfect everything before you launch it. You want you want it to be spotless. You want it to just be perfect in every way, no errors, no confusion. You just want everything to be to be just right. I applaud you for that desire. I applaud you for wanting to have things right. I applaud you for desiring excellence. But when you look at any successful brand in the world, it took them some time to fine tune where they are today, And it happened overnight. So you gotta you gotta get rid of this perfection bug that is on you. You gotta get rid of it. I wanna read you some stats. A 2021 study by the American Psychological Association found that eighty five percent of entrepreneurs reported perfectionism as the number one internal barrier to launching their business or product. The study found it, eighty one percent of entrepreneurs didn't want to launch their business or didn't launch their business because they wanted to be perfect. They felt like it just wasn't right yet. It just wasn't right. They gotta get this right. They gotta get that right. Sometimes the best thing for you to do is just to jump because it is in the jumping. Like they said, jump out, you know, with the parachute. Right? Jump out before you open your parachute. You're going to figure out how to open that parachute before you get down if you want to live. You will figure it out. You got a parachute in your back, you're 30,000 feet in the air, and you somebody pushed you. Oh, trust me, you're gonna figure that thing out by the time before you get down. So don't let delay stop you from doing that. Don't let delay stop you. I wanna read you Ecclesiastes eleven four. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, wrote Ecclesiastes as a reflection of the human tendency to overthink and overprepare. Yes. There is such a thing as overprepare. Like, you can be overqualified for some jobs, and they won't give it to you because you're way overqualified. You can be overprepare. And that is why look. Life don't reward you for having plans. Life don't reward you from having dreams. Life reward you for taking step, taking action today. Execute something today. Do something today. Because when you move, you're you're doing what's called kinetic kinetic energy. You're causing vibration for things to move in the universe. And the way that God has designed the universe, when you begin to move in the direction of your purpose, when you begin to move in the direction of your calling, there are people that are going to hear this echo that is invisible to the eyes. That is you can hear it in the physical, but your movement is going to trigger something from someone that lives in another part of the world because something get activated in them. When you begin to move, you create kinetic energy. You create energy that people cannot wait to find you. Look. When you begin to move, it's like you're blowing a trumpet, and the only people that can hear that trumpet are those that have been assigned to you or those that whose destinies are connected to your next move. The business that you've been pulling back, the business idea that you never wanted to launch, there are people that are struggling right now just because you haven't launched a business yet. There are people who are poor right now because you haven't taken a step of faith to launch a business, to launch that ministry, to launch that thing that God has given. There are people that are suffering today because you haven't taken that bold step, and I can promise you the moment that you begin to do that, they are going to come out of the woodworks because they've been waiting for you. You're you're their leader. You're the person that is supposed to liberate them, to help them find the light. It is you, nobody else. You've been given that assignment, and it's been delayed. And there are times when there's something called demonic delay. These are delays from invisible forces. You know, the the bible talks with Ephesians six, we're wrestling not against flesh and blood. So the battle that you're fighting is not with physical things. For the weapon of our warfare, they're not carnal. Right? They're not physical things that you can always grab, but these are things that are hidden. These are things that are mysteries to those that don't understand. And that is why sometimes you can see a successful person. They got everything that you'd ever want, but they end up losing their lives, end up taking their lives. And you're wondering, wait. You got the money. You got the fame. You got the cars. You got everything that people desire. But deep down within themself, they don't have that peace. They don't have it. So delay is something that can multigenerational. Delay is something that can be generational. You will realize that every family goes through the same type of delays. Whether it's in delay in going to college, you notice it's in family, nobody goes to college. They'll get close, but nobody ever get to go. Other families, it's poverty. Everybody's struggling. Nobody's is even trying to break through anything. Everyone is struggling. In some families, it's relationships. In some families, it's health. Everyone is sick and die of the same type of sickness or disease or something that happened to their great great grandfather has happened to this one, and it just repeats itself. So there are delays that are spiritual that you need to understand how these delays work so you can break free from them because the same delays will stop you in your business. They will stop you dead in your tracks, and you're wondering why. You got the website going. You're spending money on ads. You're you're you're networking. You're doing all these things, but you keep hitting the ceiling. You get close, and then all of a sudden, something invisible force just seemed to just push you back down. You get close, and it pushes you back down. You get close, and it pushes you back down. You're wondering, why is this happening to me? Why do I keep getting close, but I can never break a thousand dollars? I can never break 10,000. I can never break 500,000. I can never break whatever that ceiling is for you because there's an invisible force that wants to stop you. Another reason I can cause you a delay is you don't have a system. I've talked about this, and I'm passionate about building systems. Before you build a product, before you even build a business, build a system. A system is something that will give you clarity. It's going to help you to stay organized. It's going to give you direction, and it is going to make your life a whole lot easier. You need to have a system in place because the system will outlive you. Long after you're now we're gone, that system is going to outlive us. So you need to make sure that you are building a system, and you gotta have the right team to build the system. If you don't have the right people around you, you cannot build a long lasting system. So you gotta be able to train people around you, get connected with the right people so that you can build a system. The third attack that you're gonna deal with is division. Man, this one hits hard for a lot of us. It's division. Just when you're getting ready to get that breakthrough in your family, in your marriage, in your business, in different areas, just when you're getting ready to get that breakthrough, something happened that bring massive division in the business. And I'm gonna talk about the three types of division, but something happened that brings division. And there are three types of division that happens. Okay? Number one type is team division. You have a team of people, and you're seem to be going in right direction. You seem to have a good leader, and the leader's leading people. Right? But then out of the blue, happens somewhere, and maybe someone did something intentionally or unintentionally or something happened, and now there is massive division. When division comes, man, it can wreck a team so badly because now people start choosing sides instead of choosing what's right. They don't care about what's right anymore. Oh, I'm on this person's side. I'm on that person's side. And then all of a sudden, have this you have what's supposed to be one team now split into sometimes two or three or more because this this group don't agree with that group. That one don't agree with that one. And before you know it, it's nothing but just chaos. You can't run a business when it's chaos because you can't focus. You have no direction. Nobody's following any orders. There's no hierarchy of who does what, when, where, and how. So there's division on there. The next type of division that we have is family division. This is the most common divisions out of the three. This is where families are just broken. They're just and I know what that feels like. This one is not talking to that one. This one don't care about this one. This one haven't seen this one in a few years. When the mini child's like cat and mouse, this one don't care about this one. It's just broken all over. What you don't realize is that the generation that don't fix that brokenness, it get passed down to the next generation and to the next generation. So their their their families that haven't had a family gathering in five, ten, fifteen, twenty plus years, and the previous generation used to have a gathering every single year. Once a year, they'll gather somewhere as a family, and they'll do things. But somewhere along the line, something happened that their family got divided, and now they're at each other's throat. They can't even exist in the same room. They can exist in the same house. And sometimes, they can even exist, live in the same city because this one wanna go find that one, wanna fight them, wanna save this, and it's just nothing but just chaos. And this is the one that really hurts the heart of the father because God loves when his children are united. The bible said how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell in unity. It's such a beautiful thing when there is unity. And then the third type of division is the community, where you see division in the community. This one is talking about this one. You got this family talking about that family, this person. Oh, this one is is white. This one is black. This one is Hispanic. This one don't like this one. This one can't stand this one. And then all of a sudden, now you see there's so much division in the family, in the community. And it takes a community to raise a child. Like I said, it takes a village to raise a child. But there if if the village is out of order, then nobody's raising the child. Now the child is involved in the in the commotions that's happening, in the mix up that's happening. The child is involved in all the strife, and it's not helpful, and it's not healthy. And that has to be fixed. It has to be fixed. And you gotta take the stand to to make sure that you are working on that. Because if not, then we don't have anywhere to go. You have nothing but a society that's just broken left and right, and we already see enough of that. We already see enough of that. You're going to see lives transformed like they have never been transformed before. But, you know, it's up to you to make that change because no one is going to make that change for you. No one is going to make the change. It's so easy for people to say, yeah. I want change, but very few people really go about making change that they wanna see. It's just so much more about talking about it and not really being about it. It's talking about it but never taking the active steps to say, you know, I am going to make the change. So now you have the opportunity to make the change that you desire. Those three blind spots, they are going to hinder you if you don't do something about them. Those three blind spots, doubt, delay, and division. If you can grab those three by the horns right now and you plan that over the next thirty days, you're gonna set strategic things in place. You're gonna see a life change drastically for the better. You're gonna realize your life changed drastically for the better, but you have to be in the mindset of change. You have to want to change.
