Is This Business Idea From God or From Pressure? How Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs Can Tell the Difference

Not every business idea is from God. Some come from pressure — comparison, the fear of being left behind, the need to prove something, or watching everyone else move while you stand still. And chasing a pressure-born idea will cost you time, money, and peace you can't get back. In this teaching, Coach Mathew shows faith-driven entrepreneurs how to tell the difference before you commit.

You'll learn:
- The signs an idea is born from pressure: urgency ("do it NOW"), comparison, fear, isolation, and quiet compromise
- The marks of a God-given assignment: peace that survives a pause, confirmation, and alignment with what you're actually called to do
- The pray–pause–peace filter for any opportunity or decision
- Why delay is often God's protection, not God's rejection
- How to stop chasing counterfeit opportunities that look shiny but lead nowhere

If you've been sitting on an idea you can't read clearly — or jumping on every idea that moves — this brings the clarity to know which is which.

Welcome to another live. I'm glad to have you today. Join me as we dive into another awesome topic. And today, I wanna share with you something, that help you to bring clarity. Again, my my goal for creating this lives is to be able to help you get a certain level of clarity that you didn't have before. And we wanna address something today. I wanna ask the question and then give you some clarity on it. Is the business idea that you have, is it from God or is it from pressure? You know, I've been in this industry for over twenty four plus years now, and I've seen so many people start business because of pressure. Sometimes you have ideas and you're feeling pressure. You need the you need the money. You need the capital. You wanna do things, and you are feeling the pressure, and you're trying to figure out, you know, what next. So if you're struggling in a in a place in life where you are between transitions. Right? You're at a crossroad, and and you're trying to figure out, you know, is this an idea that is you know, is it a God idea, or is this something that I'm just doing because of pressure? Because pressure will make you do things that you end up regretting for a very, very long time. So make sure that as you join in this, whether you're watching the live or you're watching the replay, that you're sharing this link with someone, with a friend, with another coach, with another Christian entrepreneur, with any entrepreneur for that matter. Because I know that there are a lot of you that you need clarity in your direction as to what you need to be able to do or where you're going. So and, you know, for me, before doing anything, when it comes to business, I just don't jump at doing things like that. There are a lot of people who, you know, they'll just wanna start things and then just just run with it. Right? We often talk about, you know, just go all in, all in. Well, you need to understand what all in is because when you go all in just because of momentum, if your business is built on momentum and not a mission, it is almost always going to fail. If your business is built on you feeling motivated every day, it is almost always going to fail. If your business is based off you wanna just make money, that's your primary goal is just to make money. You don't care what how you wanna make money. It is almost always going to fail. What is gonna help you is that you need a mission, And I'm gonna give you the five precious sources that you need to pay attention to. These are sources that will come and they will pull you in every and and, you know, way imaginable. So you wanna have a business that has a mission. Why are you starting this business? Why are you getting into coaching? Why are you getting into finances? Why are you getting into whatever type of business that you want? You need to have a very clear mission and a mission statement. When you go to nonprofit's websites, you're gonna notice that they have a mission statement part. And the reason why they have a mission statement because they need to be clear on exactly what they're doing. If you don't have a mission, you are going to chase any and every shiny objects. And the problem with that is when you begin to chase any and every shiny objects, I've seen this happen in industry. People get started. They get excited. And the moment that they're facing difficulties, you know what they do? They just give up. The moment things get hard, they give up, and they jump to something else. Maybe you've kind of been on that, you know, jumping all over a different bandwagon. I remember a few years ago in social networks, you know, where where the thing back in 2004, you know, 02/1956 around that time, this is when Facebook just came out. And I remember everybody in my circle that I knew wanted to build a social network. Now there's a popular website that allows you to go and you can build your social network. You invite people. And, man, people were create I created one myself. You invite people in your community. They'll come. But then I realized that a lot of those people that were just building that thing, it was just off of momentum. They never had a clear vision. They never had a clear passion. They didn't they just wanted to just put it out there. So I wanna help you to understand how the voice of God works in business. Because oftentimes, the voice of God works in business in a unique way. God is not going to speak to you loud and clear. Oh, this is what I need you to do or or invest in this. You're not gonna see the clouds open up, then you hear this loud voice that's saying, you know, invest in this business. Or there are unique ways that God helps you to make decisions in business. Now most of it comes from when you spend time reading the bible. When you read the bible, you're gonna realize that you learn so much of business in the bible from Genesis to Revelation. You learn so many different strategies. You learn of what not to do. You learn about deal making. You learn about, you know, the different strategies that people use at different times and different situations. Right? So you're gonna realize that the bible is the greatest business manual because it breaks things down for you in a way that nothing else does. But in order for you to understand how that works, you have to spend some time to read it. Now I've read through the entire Bible once, and I've read through the entire New Testament twice. And both of the times when I read through it, the clarity that I have, was really vital. It was really vital, and it helped me. Now one of the things that you wanna be able to do is that you want to be able to be in a circle of other believers. You wanna be in a circle of other like minded people. Because when you are in the circle of like minded people, these are people who are either at the same level as you or a lot higher than you. You never wanna be at a place where you, you know, you are always the smartest one in the room about everything. When you do that, you gotta readjust your circle again because you're gonna be you're gonna miss a lot. Right? You need to be able to be in a circle that people can challenge your ideas. They can challenge your thoughts. They can challenge, okay. You're doing this, but why are you doing it this way? Why didn't you do it that way? Okay. Maybe you can do this. You need to be in a place where people can give you constructive criticism. Not everybody likes criticism, constructive especially. But I've come to learn that in order for you to grow, sometimes the voice of God comes to you through constructive criticism. That means when you are around the right circle, when you're around the right people, God will even use secular people to confirm things to you. God can even use secular voices to bring a certain level of perspective that you wouldn't otherwise get. He can use them, and it's happened so many times before. You're always waiting for for for someone to, you know, be fully saved, sanctified, holy ghost filled, speaking in tongues when God will connect you with secular people for a specific reason. Now we see a prime example of this in the life of of Jake Joseph. When Joseph was in Egypt, they were serving evil gods. You don't understand something. Egypt was a place where the the demonic activity was the highest it can be. I mean, the gods that they serve, all the evil things that they did, so they understood this the realm of the spirit. So what happened, Joseph was put in a position where he had to deal with secular people every single day for the his entire life. But in the midst of it all, God gave him clarity. And that is something to us that when you understand your authority as a child of God, when you're able to read the Bible and you're able to to to garner things from there, the secular world will come to you for advice because there's a certain level of clarity that comes from from understanding your purpose, and your purpose come from understanding who God is. God gives you your purpose. You don't find purpose in any other source but the Lord. So when God gives you your purpose, he's already deposited things inside of you. So as you are going into the business world, as you're going into the marketplace, you're becoming someone that's different. You're becoming a light in a dark place, in a a very dark place, and they need that in the secular world. They desperately need it. So when you come up with something different, you bring a different perspective. Most Christian coaches launch the wrong business at the right time. They're the wrong business at the right time, and that is a pressure trap. Or you can launch the right business at the wrong time. So we're gonna go over what those pressure points are that you wanna pay attention to. Those are things that can either make you or those are things that can either they can break you. And coaches, they usually within the first year, 20% of them just just quit. One of the reasons why most entrepreneurs quit, it's not even it's not because they like the idea, but there's a spiritual aspect of coaching of business that you need to understand. The spiritual realm, it is so real. It is more real than the world that you visibly see because the bible said the things that are seen came from things that are unseen. So if you don't understand that there's two dimensions into the business that you're going into, you're already behind. Now I I mentioned this the other day, and I want you to go back and watch the other live where you get to a place as an entrepreneur, as a business person, where you you hit the ceiling. It seems like you get to it, but you can never surpass it. You you keep bouncing back. You keep bouncing back. That is when the supernatural dimension comes in. You can never attain a certain level of success. You can never attain a certain level of influence and impact in the world without the help of a spirit being, whether the spirit being is godly or demonic, whether it's evil or whether it's good. You need the assistance of a spirit being. So how exactly does that work? You know, we are tripartite beings. In other words, we are body, soul, and spirit. Your subconscious mind, that is one of the most active parts of you because that's the part that stays on every day twenty four seven and never sleeps and never gets tired. It is like a sponge. It begins to soak things in all over the place. So when you when you the the bible said faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Now I wanna say something. Faith anything that you hear, that's why you gotta be be careful. Who do you have in your ear? Who is speaking to your ear? Who are you listening to? Who are you following? Because the people that are speaking into your ear, they have access to your soul. They have access to your destiny. They have access to your direction. The people that are speaking into your ear, the voices that you hear will shape your direction. The voices that you hear will shape your perspective. The voices that you hear will shape your conversations. The voices that you hear will shape your mindset. The voices that you hear will give you direction. The voices that you hear will either bring distraction or direction. That is why it's so important that you take some time every day, even if it's just for five to fifteen minutes, and you just say, need to hear the voice. God, I need to hear your voice. I don't know what direction that I'm supposed to be going today. When you get up in the morning, you wake up, the first thing you do is you don't just hop in your phone and start checking your social media profile. You start checking all the messages who sent you what, notifications. When you wake up, you spend the first precious moment. For me, since I'm usually up until sometimes three, four in the morning, I take that time. When I'm driving, when I'm going somewhere, I just take the time as I'm driving. I'm saying, God, I need direction today. I need to know what are you saying about this deal. What are you saying about this person? I wanna do this. I wanna go there. What what do you have to say about it? And, man, God know how to speak to you about things that are important to you. He knows how to get your attention. You know, there are times when certain people, certain things have to happen in order to get their attention. Right? Sometimes, maybe it's it's a it's a loss of their job that God has been trying to tell you. It's time to launch a business. You keep hearing, start a business. No. You keep pushing it back. Start a business. A few months go by. You keep feeling this urge. You keep this there's this urge for you to start a business, for you to launch out on your own, but you're so comfortable where you are. You just push it back. No. It's okay. You know, I'm not gonna do it now. Now is not the right time. And a few weeks, you push it back. A few months, you push it back. A few years, you push back. And then all of a sudden, one day, it just seems like your job let you go, this gone, that gone. That's because their voice had been speaking to you for a long, long time that you've been ignoring. You ignored the voice. So now God is saying, okay. I need to get your attention, but I gotta get your attention in a way that would get your attention. And that's what usually happens. That's what usually happens. And there is a there is a way that when you are fully submitted to the purpose that God has created you, doors are going to begin to open for you. There's something happened that I learned something about energy. There's kinetic energy that is moving, constant moving, and then there's like a dormant energy where things are just stagnant, nothing is moving. When you are following and walking in the will of God, doors are going to swing open in ways you could have never thought possible at all. Doors, people are gonna connect with you that you never thought possible. You're gonna get emails. You get phone calls. You get text message. I mean, you get all types of connection. That is because you have become aligned with what God is calling you to do. Now the Joseph principle, divine ideas often come with a long runway, not overnight success. We have this idea that we can just get something, and then overnight it just happens. For thirteen years, Joseph went through a whole lot. He went through trials. He went through tribulations. He went through heartache. He went through heartbreak. I mean, he went through a whole lot for thirteen long years. Maybe you're going through that season where it seems like for a long time, you know, things are are not moving. Now during the times when you feel like things are not moving, this is the best time for you to prepare yourself. This is the best time when you find out in life that things are not going in the direction that you thought they were supposed to go in, don't start the blame game. Don't start the finger pointing because there are people, they blame everyone else for all the things that's going wrong in their life. They they will point the finger in a heartbeat. So as things begin to go in the opposite direction of what you desire, what you prayed for, what you prepared for, that is the best time for you to continue to improve yourself. You read. You listen to podcast. You know, you do something that is going to sharpen your skill set. One of the things that I love to do is I love to watch I watch documentaries. I pick a good educational quality documentary over a movie any day. Or from time to time, you know, I get books. I'm not much of a book reader. I'm more of, like, you know, visual and auditory. So either I'm either watching it, right, or I'm either listening to it. So this is the best time for you to go in. That's what Habakkuk two one two said, write down the vision. Get a pen. Oh my goodness. I have my pen, and I I have notebooks. I have notebooks that are filled with visions, that are filled with my desires, that are filled with failures, that are filled with confusion, that are filled with questions, unanswered questions. I continue to write things down. I have a plan for 2030 that I've been working on. I got a vision for 2030. I got a vision for 2050. If God permits for me to live another twenty, another thirty, forty, fifty, sixty years, I have a vision for where I'm going. I got a vision for that, so you gotta write it down. Don't just think about it. Write it down because something happens when you write something down today. When you get discouraged, when you lose your focus, you can always go back and say, wow. Look at what I was thinking two years ago. Look what I was thinking five years ago. And then the vision begins to burn up inside you. Something begin to stir up inside again that you gotta go back to it. So get a notebook. Start a journal. Start writing a journal. Start journaling things down. You don't have to write two, three, four pages a day. There's a season in my life when writing got me through so much. I'm in for a long, long season, and I will get up and sometimes three in the morning, I just write down my my plans. I it didn't look like it where I was at. I didn't see any of it, but I began to write it down. I began to and as I'm writing it down, I'm also get in the habit of speaking. Get in the habit of speaking what you desire. Get in the habit of speaking your dreams. It may not make sense today, but I'm telling you, if you begin to speak those things out of your mouth, you are attracting the right relationships. You're attracting the right partnerships. You're attracting the right mindset. You're attracting the right direction. When you begin to speak your words, become life. So not just think it, but begin to speak it out. So what I do, I get a notebook, and I get a piece of paper. I have lots of notebook, and I begin to write. This is this. And I write it, and I'm not just writing, but I'm declaring those things in the atmosphere. I'm speaking those things out loud. A lot of times, God would deposit something in you. You have a vision, but all you're doing is just thinking it. All you've done is just thought about it. You haven't you haven't taken any steps at all. You just thought about it. Well, now is the time for you not just to think about it. And during this process, okay, you need to be able to sharpen your discernment. Sharpen your discernment. Read books about discernment from a biblical perspective. Watch podcasts or listen to podcast. Discernment is your ability to be able to know when to do something, when not to do something, what to say, what not to say, who to connect with, who to stay away from, how to set boundaries, how to make decisions. When you learn and you master the art of discernment, you're gonna realize there is a certain level of peace. There is a certain level of clarity. There's a certain level of direction that comes when you have discernment and you're using it. People that have discernment don't panic. Because when you panic, you don't you're not focused. When you panic, you can't think straight. When you panic, you make irrational decisions that you'll regret for the rest of your life. But when you have discernment, maybe you wanna start a new partnership with someone. Maybe you wanna move into a different a different state, a different city, a new job, whatever that thing is. You need discernment to be able to know, is this the right time for me to do this? Who do I need to connect with? What do I need to say? What preparation do I need? You gotta discern the times. The Bible talks about the children of Issachar, and it said that they knew the times and season and what Israel ought to do. So it's not always just enough to know the times and seasons, but it's to know what to do during those times and the seasons. Because every season brings something different. Every season bring a different challenge. Every season bring different opportunities. Every season, you have to ask certain questions, and you gotta answer certain questions. Ecclesiastes chapter three talks about it. There is a time and a season for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to walk and a time to run. So you gotta understand what season are you in because God will always speak to you on the season that you're in so you can get clarity. Clarity in that time. Now faith without works, that will lead you to launch prematurely. Okay? Faith without works. Sometimes we we we we confuse faith without works. You can put energy in the wrong thing. You can run fast in the wrong direction. And oftentimes, that is why most people don't thrive or succeed because you're running fast, super fast. But after two weeks, after two months, after two years, sometimes after ten, twenty years, you realize that you've been running fast but in the wrong direction. And by the time that you regroup, by the time that you regress, man, you've lost so much. So that is why it's important for you to understand clarity, be able to discern the types of relationships that you need in your life. Who do you need? Who do you need in your life? Now I wanna give you the five precious sources. These are things that masquerade as the voice of God. And you think if you don't understand this, you're gonna think that, wow, this is God speaking to me. Let me move on it. I've had situations when I look back at that it was more so pressure than the voice of God. I've made certain decisions, certain things that I've done that it was more so from pressure than the voice of God. After looking back, I'm like, you know what? Hindsight is twenty twenty because looking back at it, I'm like, man, I shouldn't have did this, or I should have waited for this, or I could have did whatever that thing is. And all of us go through that. All of us go through that. So the first pressure source is your peer comparison. You're watching other coaches, other businesses, other people, and you're feeling left behind. You see them thriving or so it looks. You see them happy. They got their phones on social media. They're going on vacation. They're showing all these beautiful cars, five cars. You know? They're showing their their yacht. They're showing their planes. They're showing they got this perfect life. And there you are. You're barely making it. There you are. You are struggling just to get through the day. And you're wondering, how come they're moving ahead? How come they're thriving? How come I'm not like them? I need to be like that. I need to have the same house, the same cars. Now while there's nothing wrong in desiring more financially, more, you know, to have a better life, when you begin to compare with people, you don't know what is happening behind the scene. Oh my gosh. You don't know what is happening. There are people that will smile. They'll take their phone, have a selfie. They will smile. They'll laugh. They'll crack jokes on the phone. Look at me. I'm right now you know, I'm some people you're some people on social media, you know, they'll get their phone, like, hey. Look at me. Hey. I'm I'm here. I just got this new car, my new home. Everything is great. And you know, I've gone on vacation, I'm making this money, and they'll get money. They'll they just borrow that money from someone else. Right? They'll spread the money, they'll throw it out like, yeah. Yeah. We're making that money, baby. We're making that money. After they hang up the phone, they are crying. They are hurting. They are in pain. They're confused. They're lost. You're gonna face yourself at night when it's quiet. And that's why sometimes some people can't stay by themselves for too long because they get to face reality of their decisions that they made. The consequences are following you. They gotta be doing something, and that is why sometimes you should peep people get involved in things that they have no business getting involved in because they cannot face the decisions that they've made to get them where they are, and they regret it. They can't even look at themselves in the mirror. They wanna go somewhere. They're always working, working, working, working all over the place. They don't wanna sit down, not even for five minutes, because when they think about the terrible decisions that they've made, oh, it just haunts them. So they gotta keep moving, moving. But let me tell you something. That pressure to compare yourself to others, it will lead you in the wrong direction. Pressure source number two, financial affairs. Launching your business, launching an offer because you need income now. You feel pressure, so you have to fabricate things. You gotta make things up. You have to, you know, you gotta lie and and deceive people just because you have financial pressure, and you gotta make the money right now. So you're gonna tell people whatever you have to whatever you want them to hear, even if it's not true. And you lie and have been deceptive. Maybe that's happened to you before, or maybe you've done it before. All of us have made certain decisions like this at some point in time or another. You wasn't fully prepared, but you just needed the money right now. So, hey. Listen. We're gonna launch this. We're gonna do this. You didn't do any type of checks. You just went with it, and you just okay. Whatever. That's the pressure that you're feeling, and you gotta own it. Like, yeah. You know, I'm feeling the pressure. And I've seen time and time again, popular, you know, celebrities sometimes. You know, they'll come out and they'll some admitted it. You know what? I did this because I needed the money. I didn't care about that project. I didn't like the project. I couldn't stand this one. I couldn't stand that one, but I did it because I needed the money, and they own it. So now I want you to own it, and it's okay. You have to be able to own what's happening. You gotta be able to own it. And once you own it, then you're able to make the right adjustments for later. But own the decisions that you made to get you to where you are. Financial fear. What if I don't have enough money? What if this never works out? What if I I I lose everything? What if you have to be able to silence that voice. You really you have to be so intentional about silencing the financial fears that are plaguing you. You have to speak the opposite. The bible said that you are a tree planted by the rivers of waters that bring us fruit for a fruit in a season. Your leaf will not wither, and whatever you do will prosper. Whatever you do will prosper. So there are times that I'm like, you know what? I don't say it right now, but what I'm gonna do is gonna prosper. My business is gonna prosper. And that goes back again to who is in your ear. Because when you get around people that get in your ear and they begin to speak negative things, oh, you sure that's gonna work out? Oh, that's gonna take a lot of money. You don't even have anything. Look where you at. How are gonna connect with so and so? You don't have the right connections. You don't have to and all that you are hearing is you don't have. You're not good enough. You all negative things. Silence the voice. Get away from them for a season if you have to. Cut that relationship off. If it's not speaking life to you, if it's not speaking hope to you, if it's not giving you encouragement, cut them off. Get rid of them. Get them out your life. You don't need that because they're gonna add more fear in already fearful situation. Now there's a reality sometimes you face reality that's like, you know what? If I don't do this, if I don't do that, this is gonna happen, but you don't need people amplifying that message in your ear. Get them out your ear. I don't care. Look. It didn't go how you wanted it to go. That's okay. So financial pressure is the number two thing that you think you hear in the voice of God to start a business, but it's just the pressure speaking. Pressure source number three, mentor pressure. A coach or a program telling you your time is now. People telling you, man, your time is now. You know, don't lose it. Your time is now. Now it's a new season right now. Now I wanna bring balance to this because I do believe there are times when there's a new season. But every day for you, you know, it's a new it's new, new, new. Yes. But you don't wanna fall under the pressure of launching before your time. I have done that before. And if you're honest, you've launched certain things. You've gone ahead with certain things before you were supposed to, and it always backfires. Why does it backfire? Because you didn't build the capacity to deal with the challenges that were to come for the things that you desire the most. So when the thing that you desire the most finally came, because you didn't have the capacity, you didn't have the maturity, you didn't have the clarity, You didn't have the know how. You didn't have the wisdom. You just lost it. So you don't want people to hype you up, man. You don't want people to hype you up in the wrong way. That is why there's there's safety in the multitude of council and the multitude of elders. You go back and you run some ideas off of people. Hey. Look. You know, I'm thinking about this. And there are times when you may not have the people to run some ideas off of. There are times when you just gotta do it on your own, and then you say, God, I don't have anybody right now. I'm gonna check resources online. I'll see how other people did it, and based off of that, Lord, help me. Have mercy on me. You help connect me with the right people. That is when God will begin to connect you with the right people. He will begin to put the right people, the right relationships in your life because you need the right relationships in your life in order to make sound decisions. Relationships are your greatest resource, their greatest currency. You don't wanna play with your relationship. When you connect with peep whether they are secular and godly and that they're gonna help you in a way to get to where you need to be, cherish that relationship. Protect it. Guard it. Don't abuse it. Don't overuse it. Don't overstep your bounds. Because when you break relationships that are meant to take you to the next level, one day one day, you're gonna realize that the bridge you burn is the only bridge available to get your cross, but you burnt that bridge. So what happened? Now it take God's mercy. It take for something a miracle to happen, which can happen, but you don't wanna put yourself in a position where you need a miracle. That means you've already missed missed so many things before. So mentor pressure. Don't let anybody force you to do things you're not ready to do. People get telling you, you don't do it now. No. You don't have to do anything right now if you don't feel that's the the thing to do, And that is where oh my goodness. That's where that inner inner peace comes in. That's why Jesus said peace, I leave with you. My peace, I give you. Not as the word give give you, but as I give unto I give you a certain dimension of peace. You are in a troubling world, and one of the benefits of serving the Lord Jesus, he gives you a certain level of peace that nothing can replace. There are times when I gotta make certain decisions. I don't have all the details. I don't have all the finances. I don't know all the intentions of the people that I wanna deal with. I don't even know what direction that I'm supposed to be going. All that I have is just that inner peace. I said, Lord, I thank you for your peace. Sometimes that peace is the GPS. That peace is that North Star. It never moves. It never moves. So before you go jump into certain things, if you don't have peace about it, I'm telling you, don't do it. That is the one of the biggest ways, indicators. If you don't have peace about going in a partnership, don't do it. Moving, don't do it. Relationship, don't do it. Organization, business, if you don't have peace and when you get that peace, it's like a blanket that just hovers over you in a cold winter day when you just it's like sitting by the warm fireplace in the winter, and you just feel that warmth. That is what that peace feels like. If you don't have that peace, don't let nobody force you. Precious source number four, the algorithm urgency. You know, trending niches, marketing timing, FOMO. Right? Fear of missing out, driven pivot. You begin to pivot because you don't want to miss out. This is something that I've had to watch for me personally. This is something that I've had to watch for me, fear of missing out. Oh, this new technology, this new stuff just came out. You gotta get it now. If you don't get it right now, you're gonna miss out on it. It's not gonna be there. And you jump on it, and then you realize that wasn't the right thing. Don't let the algorithm be your source of truth. You can use it as a guide in guideline. You can use it as a way to kinda gauge what to prepare, but don't be rush, rush to jump to the algorithm. I've seen people, they just wanna they just wanna be in front of algorithm. Now there's nothing wrong with being an algorithm, but you gotta understand that you don't want that to dictate everything that you do. Because sometimes just because something is trending doesn't mean it needs your opinion. Just because something is trending doesn't mean you have to get involved in there. There are things that are trending, and you should just stay away from it because just because it's trending doesn't mean you have to be part of that trend. There's some trends that start that people get involved in the trend. It's a negative trend. It's not positive. It's not enhancing your business. It's not connected to your purpose. It's not going to bring clarity. It's not going to connect you with the types of people and relationships that you need. When you see trends like that, don't get involved in that because now you're going out your lane. And I I believe that you were created to stay in a specific lane. There is a lane that has your name on it. Nobody else can get in that lane. Nobody else can disrupt that lane. Nobody else can interfere with that lane unless you allow them. So when you see trends that are happening, don't be so quick to just jump on trends. You create your own trend. And how do you create a trend? By staying focused. How do you create a trend? By having clarity. How do you create a trend? By knowing exactly what your purpose is. Your purpose is going to be the greatest trend that you can ever create. Your purpose is going to be the trend that you set for the rest of your life. And the beautiful thing is that when you create a trend for you, man, there's so many opportunities in that in that in that arena. There's so many ways, so many things you can do in that specific niche that you're in. It's all about your purpose. Don't let the algorithm pressure you into releasing offers and to starting businesses and to creating content that does not connect or enhance your purpose. Don't. There are times when I'm I'm watching, I'm seeing the algorithm, it's, you know, hey. It's showing this. It's doing this. I'm not gonna jump on there. I'm not. Precious source number five, spiritual pride. You wanna be seen as the one that God chose, as the pioneer. Now let me balance this by saying there's nothing wrong with wanting to be a pioneer in an area. I think that's a beautiful thing. If you've been called to have that pioneer because that pioneering spirit, you gotta go through so much. You have to have resilience because when you pioneer something, you you don't know what's there. You don't know what's coming. You don't know all the different challenges that are gonna be there. Sometimes you think it's gonna go this way, but it ends up being three times harder than you thought. So pioneering is great, but you gotta be ready for the challenges that comes, for the objections that come, for the pushback that come, for the negativity that come, but also you gotta be ready for the blessings that come with it, for the right connections, the right relationships. And I go back to relationships again. They are the greatest asset, greatest currency in the world are relationships. So don't be always don't always wanna be the person, oh, well, it's all about me. There are people that have this mindset of, oh, it's all about me. You know? It's me. It's all about me. You don't wanna be that way. You don't wanna be that way. Because when it's all about you, you can mislead a lot of people. You can lose vital relationships. You know, I always tell people this that one of the reasons why I made a decision that I'm going to be fair when I'm dealing with people, I'm going to, you know, be transparent as much as I can. I'm not going to try to dupe people or, you know, mislead people or or do anything that's going to come back. Because what you don't realize is when you do certain things, it may not come back to you, but it will come back to your children, their grandchildren, their great great grandchildren, and sometimes for generations. So I made a decision because I'm like, I have kids. I got four kids. If I go around doing something crazy, God forbids, it may not come back to me. It may not at all. Well, that's when you look at, you know, even in the Bible, there were kings that lived horrible, terrible lives and never and never haunted them in their reign. It never did. But it came back to their kids and their grandkids for generations. So you always have to have that mindset mindset of multigenerational. It's not just about you. It's not just about you. So now I wanna give a seven signal framework, how to know when an idea is from God. K? These are seven signals. Again, I always encourage people, you go back to God in prayer. You look at the Bible and see make sure all these things align. But these are seven signals that can let you know this idea is from God. Sign number one. Sign number one, consistent recurrence. The idea keeps running it kept returning across seasons, not just trending moments. So when you have an idea that it keeps coming back to you, that thought kept coming back to you, that business kept coming back to you. In every season of your life, whether you're happy, you're sad, you're confused, you're lost, that idea keep coming back to you. It never dies. It's been recurring for the past five years, for the past ten years. You've always known that, you know what? This thing, it keeps coming back. I put it on the burner, it comes back. Sometimes it comes back to conversations that you're having with people. Sometimes you have a dream, it comes back. Sometimes you're walking, it comes back. Sometimes you're doing things that are completely different and contrary to that idea that you had, but it'll sneak back in. That's God's way of letting you know it keeps coming back. If you don't deal with this, it's gonna keep coming back. It's gonna keep coming back until you realize, like, okay. I've been having this idea for the past ten years, and I've done everything to shake it off. I've tried to forget, you know, forget about it. I've canceled it, but it keeps coming back to me. And same thing to happen too with relationships. When God wants to bring certain people back into your life, you're gonna have recurring dreams sometimes about them. You know? So you gotta look at the recurrence. When was the last time that it reoccur? How often? Does it recur, you know, every month? Does it recur every two months? Does it recur every six months? Sometimes those patterns, they come over and over and over again. When you realize that those ideas have been recurring, don't just put them on the back burner. Don't leave them there. You gotta go back and say, okay. I get it. I get it now. It makes sense. You know, it didn't make sense before, but now I know that God is showing me something, and it is time for me to pay attention to that. And what happened is that when you let those things that are recurrent, when you pursue it, the doors that have been closed, they're gonna swing wide open because that thing has been calling to you. It was always there even before you were created. It was always there, but you finally got to a place in life where you're able to kinda tap into that. So you wanna do that. Now signal number two. Signal number two, confirmations through unconnected sources. This can be scripture. This can be counsel. This can be circumstances. Sometimes you're dealing with certain people, as I mentioned, and then all of a sudden, the one thing that, you know, you you you thought you forgot about, it comes up again. The one thing that you didn't wanna deal with, it comes up again through unconnected sources. You're driving and you see something. You're at a restaurant. You see something. You're at a lake. You see something. You're going somewhere and you see something. So confirmation through that, and that happens a lot. Signal number three, peace under pressure. The idea doesn't dissolve regardless of the circumstances that you're facing. You can be going through hell and high water, but for some reason, the peace that you have never leaves about that thing. It never leaves. It never wavers. And you're wondering, my life is a mess. My relationships are a mess. I'm going through this. My biz but that one thing is constant that you get peace about it. When that happens, there is no other clearest sign on the planet than God is letting you know that's the thing. I've been trying to get your attention about that. Signal number four, giftedness alignment. It draws on how God uniquely wired you, not just a market gap. There are some things that come easy to you. There are some things you don't have to think hard for. You don't have to work hard for. It just naturally just come to you. Some people, they are great at organizing. They can walk in a room that looks scattered, and in fifteen seconds, mentally and visually, they know exactly where things need to be. And if you give them fifteen minutes, they will organize that room in a heartbeat, and you're like, woah. Other people, they're gifted with their hands. You give them a few tools, you give them a few this and that, they will build anything. They will build anything. Other people, it's more bureaucratic. You know? You can give them a bunch of ideas, and they can organize everything for you just like that. So that's what that means. There are things that are connected in you. There are things that are designed and built in you that it takes less effort. When you can do things effortlessly, that is a sign God is letting you know pursue that thing. When you can do things that you don't have to spend a whole day thinking about, you can move on it just like that, that is one of the ways that God is telling you, that is an idea that I've birthed inside of you. You need to pursue that. Signal number five, kingdom purpose. It solves the problem for real people and advances the gospel. If there's something that you're doing, maybe you're passionate about saving kids. Right? And you wanna go out and go to orphanages, and you wanna be able to help the orphans. Maybe you wanna do missionary work. Maybe you wanna be an educator. You wanna be whatever it is, there is something that aligns with kingdom purpose. It solves the greater need, and it's taking the gospel out to the people. Maybe you you love taking care of people, and you wanna go work at a nursing home, or you wanna volunteer, whatever it is, but it is solving a greater purpose. It is helping spread the gospel. Maybe you like to drive, and you wanna, you know, do you know, drive some, like, Uber or something like that, and during that time, you're speak spreading the word. You're speaking the word to people. You're speaking life to them. You're telling about the Lord. Whatever that thing is, it is always set to advance the kingdom. Signal number six, godly council agreement. Trusted spiritual voices affirm without being prompted. You have people. That's why I keep telling you relationships are vital. You got people that will affirm things without you telling them anything. They'll affirm things and say, you know what? I I I keep feeling this about you. I know this. I feel this, and I think this, and you're like, wow. I didn't even talk to them about it, but because they sense that. And I thank God that I have some people in my life, you know, that they can be able to share with me when they feel certain things, when they see certain things, and that's always been helpful. Trusted, godly voices. Number signal number seven, fruitful obedience and small steps. Early test. Early test sink small steps. You don't have to take long, long steps, leaps and bounds. You take little steps. You take baby steps, and that's how it works. You may not be able to accomplish everything in one shot, but you're able to say, know what? I'm gonna take little steps, and the little step that I'm taking is producing result. It's going somewhere. You don't have to do everything at once. You don't have to do it all at once, and that's god showing you you're going the right direction. You're going in the right direction. Now I wanna give you when to wait, when to move, and when to kill the idea entirely. There are times when it's time to wait. There are times when it's time to move on, and there are times when it's like, you know what? That's not gonna work. It's it's done with. It's done with. Okay? It's done with. Weight, move, or release, and how to discern which one. Sign God is saying wait. Okay? When God is saying wait, it's an inner restlessness, lack of practical provision, counsel not aligning. When God is saying wait, you have this restlessness in you. It's like if, like, you know what? The provision that you thought were gonna be there, it's not as like it should be, and God is saying to you, wait. It's coming. Don't rush it. Don't rush your season. Right? Don't force it. Don't force it. Just wait. When God is saying move, doors begin to open. Peace persists through obstacles I mentioned before. You get this level of peace that in spite of the opposition, in spite of the objections, there is a certain level of peace you have that you got. You know what? I can go through this. I don't have everything a 100%, but I'm gonna go through it, and I have that peace. Signs, God is saying release. Repeated quote when when God is telling me to quote, like, something is dead. It's fine. Let it go. Repeated closed doors, consistent loss of peace, fruit not apparent. If you're not seeing the fruits in that relationships, in that business, in that idea, if you're not seeing the fruit, it's time for you to let it go. There maybe look. Some ideas are meant to be just ideas. You gotta be able to get to a place where just close it. So if you keep experiencing repeated closed doors, right, there are times when it's like, okay. I'm getting too many no's. Now I get it. I know there's a point in time when as entrepreneurs and believers we have this idea, you know, pray till something happened. That's not always the case. Sometimes there's some doors that are meant to stay locked, that if you're prone to something happen, whatever happened is gonna set you back years. So there are times when doors have been shut, you gotta go back to God. You gotta go back to the drawing board and say, okay. I've been doing this thing now for the past six months, the past one year, and nothing is moving. I don't see any signs of progress. Everything is dead. You know, I keep regressing more than I progress. It is time to kill it. Maybe you live in a certain location. Things are not moving for you. No doors are opening. You are struggling. It is time for you to ask God, Lord, do I need to relocate? Do I need to move? Maybe you're in a certain relationship, and you think about, you know what? I wanna take this relationship with this person to the next level. Right? You're not married. I wanna take this to the next level, and you keep saying no fruit. You see no fruit. Don't make an excuse for it. End it because it's gonna save you so much headache later on. And that's where people kinda, you know, mess up. So you wanna be able to make sure that you end it and you're able to move on with what God has called you to do. So as you're listening to hear the voice of God for your business, I want you to remember this. If you don't have peace about it, don't do it. I don't care what it is. I don't care who it is, how it is. If you don't have peace about something, don't pursue it. Because when you pursue things you don't really have absolute peace about, when it backs fire, you're gonna be stressed out. You're gonna be confused. You're gonna be hurt. Your heart is gonna be broken. I mean, it it's gonna be a mess. So to save you from the mess, always have make sure that you have peace. Because sometimes when the data can say one thing, maybe you're looking at some analytics and it's saying, don't do this or saying, do this, whatever it's saying. But that piece in your heart is either telling you go or telling you wait or telling you let it go. That is what you gotta sharpen. That is what you have to sharpen.
