You were created for an assignment no one else on earth can fulfill the way you can. This is Day 1 of 100 Days of Purpose, and we start with the thing quietly stealing your calling: drifting.
Busy and purposeful are not the same thing. You can wake up early, work hard, pray, serve, and still end the year no closer to what God made you for. Faithfulness without direction is motion without progress.
In this message we break down the 4 ways drifting shows up in your life:
1. A full calendar and an empty sense of direction
2. Always answering, never asking
3. Waiting for a sign instead of actually seeking God
4. Motion mistaken for obedience
Then we get practical. Clarity is not a feeling, it is a decision you can name. Know where you are. Know your next step. Take it before you feel ready.

You were created for a purpose and a specific assignment that no one else on planet Earth can fulfill your assignment the way that you can. Over the next one hundred days, I'm going to give you steps, help you to find your purpose to bring clarity in the next direction that you want to go in. So whatever stage that you are in life today, your life is gonna change significantly because you're going to uncover the thing that's already inside of you. So I want you to do me two things, I want you to share this video and I want you to like it. Now, I wanna give you practical things that you can be able to utilize every day as you go on about your life. You know, a lot of people today are just existing, they just that same routine, nothing ever changes, but you're different. There's something that you're meant to accomplish and over the next one hundred days, I'm going to be releasing a brand new video every day that will bring clarity, that will bring direction, that will help you to kinda get unstuck, all based on the word of God. So let's get started. Now, you have to stop drifting, this is where a lot of people are today, they are drifting all over the place. Why you feel so busy every day but you're never closer to your calling? There's an assignment that only you can fulfill that assignment and but you got to stop drifting because when you're drifting, you don't know what's going to come next. When you're drifting, you don't have control over your life, so you have to stop drifting. Now you wake up early, you know, you work hard, maybe you pray, you do different things, you go out, but I realized that the older you get, the less you want to go out, right? You want to probably just stay home and your bedtime used to be two, three in the morning, now by 07:00 you're already yawning and ready for bed and that's okay. So why does nothing moves? Busy and purposeful are not the same thing. Most people never learn the difference, but you got to know what the difference is. Just because you're busy doesn't mean that you're living on purpose. Let me say that again, just because you're busy doesn't mean that you are living a purpose driven life. Here's what the word of God says, many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. Proverbs nineteen twenty one, what a powerful scripture. You can have your own plans, you can have your own agendas and there's nothing wrong with having a plan, there's nothing wrong with, you know, having an agenda, but in the end, it is God's ultimate purpose for your life that always prevails And sometimes you have people that fight the Lord, you know, they'll wrestle with them, you know, in their teens, in their twenties, and by the time that they get to 30, then that light bulb kicks in, they realize that they're fighting a losing battle. I wanna give you two assumptions that people usually make, and the first assumption is this, if if I stay faithful and busy, I end up where God wants me to go, and that's where a lot of people get messed up. If I just stay busy, if I just stay busy, if I stay busy, keep doing things, I'm eventually going to end up where God want me to go. Well, that is not the truth, that's not the reality. Here's the reality, here's what's true, faithfulness without direction is motion without progress. So you can be running fast, but running fast in the wrong direction. And that's where most people are today, maybe that's where you are, you've been running super fast, but then you realize that you're not going in the right direction and sometimes that happens after two years, sometimes five years, sometimes when you talk to senior citizens, you know, in their sixties, seventies and eighties and they realize like, I regret this, I regret that, I coulda did this, they're running fast, but running in the wrong direction. That's the core difference. Now, there are four ways drifting shows up and most of us are living at least one of these, so I want you to look at this four ways and be honest with yourself, which one of this is me and what can I do to change that? Drift number one, you have a full calendar, you have a empty sense of direction, every hour is spoken for and accounted for, but none of it points anywhere. You're always busy doing things that are not connected to your purpose. You're always busy doing things that are not connected to your destiny. You're always doing things your calendar is full, but at the end of the day, did it accomplish what you were created to do? And for the most part, most people that's no. Number two, answering, never asking. You react to what's in front of you instead of choosing what's ahead. You know, there are people that have made temporary decisions based on I mean, they've made permanent decisions based on a temporary feeling that they had. You're always busy asking, answering questions, answer, but you never take the time to ask, am I supposed to be doing this? Is now the right season? Are this the type of people that I need to be involved with? What do I need to do? What am I not doing? What gaps am I missing? Right? So instead of always answering questions, have to ask more. Now here's the big one, waiting for a signed. You've made waiting itself the plan and you've been waiting on God, you've been waiting on other people, you've been waiting on that opportunity that maybe there's this, maybe that, and then you get to realize after a while that you've just been waiting and all along God has been showing you what to do, all along the signs have already been there but you've chosen to ignore what those signs are. Number four, motion mistaken for obedience. Doing more feels right, doing more feels holy, doing more feels like you're doing the right thing, so you never stop and ask if it's the right thing to do. You just keep doing it. But could it be that this whole time you've been doing things and those things were not connected to your purpose? Now, when was the last time you chose what you what your week was for? When was the last time that you actually organized your week according to your purpose, not according to your feelings, not according to your emotions, not according to other people's opinions. You have a full calendar, empty sense of direction. Your week is full of good things, none of them were chosen on purpose. It just sort of happened, this thing came up maybe for work, thing came up for family, that thing came up with that relationship, that thing came whatever those things are coming, they are filling your calendar, but at the end of the day, nothing positive is coming from there that connects to your purpose. So we assume a full calendar means a meaningful life. Often it means we're never decided. Now I'm not saying that you can have, you know, it's always like this, but for the most part, there are people today, you see a lot of celebrities, they're always busy but they feel so empty inside. So many of them go through depression for years and they never say anything because people assume that because they're on screen all the time, you know, they're famous, they're traveling, that they're fulfilled, but they're not. A full schedule can be the most respectable way to avoid your calling. Psalms ninety twelve says this, teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Your days are numbered, my days are numbered. Now, let me ask you another question, who is setting your agenda right now? Right? Is it dictated by your circumstances? Is it dictated by your maybe your job? Is it dictated by some weather seen or unforeseen circumstances? Who is setting your agenda? You're always answering, never asking. Messages come in, needs, requests, you spend your best hours on other people's questions. You give 100% of yourself all the time to other people, you never take the time to ask if you're supposed to be giving your attention to them, you never take the time to ask if you're supposed to be connected to them. Being needed feels like being useful, they are not the same thing, Right? Just being needed does not mean that you're being useful, it just means that you're being needed. You have to be able to separate the two and ask the tough questions. If you only answer, you will never get to ask what you were made for, you gotta ask questions. What questions are you not asking? What questions are you missing that's there's a gap that needs to be filled. Luke ten forty one through 42, and I want you to go read this whole passage. This Jesus, when he was talking to Martha and Mary, he says, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed. You're concerned about everything else but few things. Do you know what those few things are? Now what exactly are you waiting for God to do? You're waiting for a sign, you've been asking for clarity for years and treating the ask and ask obedience. Just because you're asking questions does not mean that you're being obedient. Sometimes we go for years asking the exact same questions over and over and over. Even when we get the answer, we keep asking. One of the ways that God answers my questions and your questions is God usually gives you light for the next step, not the whole staircase. He's not gonna blast this light that shows everything that you need to know, doesn't work that way. Then if God showed you everything you needed to know, then where does faith come in, where does trust in coming. Now this is a journey that you're on and you have to understand that it's a journey and you're not always going to get the full picture. Waiting is not the same as seeking. One moves, one only feels like it does. Just because you're waiting on God does not mean you're seeking God. You can wait on God and not seek God. You can wait on God and not pursue God. You can wait on something and not seek that thing, you just walk if it comes, when it comes, however it comes, and that is how most people are. Isaiah thirty twenty one says, this is the way, walk in it, God is always going to give you a clear path forward. Now, is it obedience or is it just easy to keep moving? Sometimes it's so much easier for you to just keep moving because you don't want to face yourself, you don't want to have that that quiet moment when you have to look at yourself in the mirror and really deal with the issues at hand. So you mistaken motion for obedience, Just because you're in motion does not mean first you're going the right direction and second that you're being obedient to what God want you to do. You serve, you show up, you volunteer and you're exhausted and yet you still have no clarity. You're showing up for everything else, for everyone else's agenda, but you still have no clarity. Stopping feels like disobedience, it feels like you got to keep moving. We live in a world that tells you in this rat race, you got to keep moving, you got to stay busy, but busy doing what? And sometimes stopping is the obedience. You can be busy doing good things and still of be and still be avoiding the assignment or the sign thing. As I mentioned before, you're busy but you're doing things that's not adding to your your purpose, that's not connected to your your destiny. To obey is better than sacrifice. First Samuel fifteen twenty two. Now you've been faithful, you have not been directed. Okay? Just because you've been faithful that excitement that you think God gave you does not mean that he gave you the directions for that. Those are two different problems and they have different solution. Now let's talk about clarity. Clarity is not a feeling, it's a decision that you can name. Don't go based off of your feelings, go based off of decisions. So here are a few things, three things to keep in mind. First, if you want clarity, you have to know where you are, an honest assessment not wishful thinking. Next, you have to know what's next, one step not the whole plan. You will never get the whole plan. And then once you get some get the next steps, take it before you feel ready. Don't wait for everything to line up because it never lines up that way. Now, the four marks, right, that you have to understand we talked about first, a full calendar and it's empty, no sense of direction, you're answering all day means you're never asking, you gotta ask questions. Waiting is not the same as seeking and motion is not automatically obedience. Now, want you to go on this site, I want you to take the free purpose score test. Right? It's gonna help you to bring clarity to understand exactly what you need to be doing at this stage and point in your life. And you can also go on the link there to book a clarity and purpose session. Scan this QR code, take the test, and I cannot wait to see all that God is going to do in your life. This one hundred days would change your life, so make sure that you stay tuned for the next one.
