If you have been praying and not getting the results you desire, could it be that you are praying the right prayers at the wrong times? Knowing when to pray is just as important as knowing what to pray. Jesus prayed at the same time every day, and there is a reason for that.

The grace for revelation, for intercession and for breakthrough is not spread evenly through the day. In this teaching I walk you through the eight prayer watches, what to pray in each one, the scripture behind it, and a model prayer you can pray with me.

1. 6 PM to 9 PM, the alignment watch: your day starts at night. Cover your home and set the atmosphere.
2. 9 PM to midnight, the separation watch: intercession, shutting doors and breaking cycles.
3. Midnight to 3 AM, the wrestling watch: breakthrough and deliverance, like Paul and Silas at midnight.
4. 3 AM to 6 AM, the dawn watch: divine encounters, dreams, visions and direction.
5. 6 AM to 9 AM, first fruits: dedicate your day to God first, no leftovers.
6. 9 AM to noon, the empowerment watch: boldness and power for your assignment.
7. Noon to 3 PM, the pivot watch: strength when you are drained, and refusing to quit at midday.
8. 3 PM to 6 PM, the finishing watch: favor, thanksgiving and answered prayer.

How to start: pick one watch that fits your season, and pray in it for 15 minutes a day for seven days. Worship, repent, ask, listen, then give thanks. Prayer does not have to be fancy. It just has to be real.
